Important: This is a product privacy notice, not legal advice. The operator of the deployment must confirm the legal entity, contact address, retention schedule, and applicable local requirements before public launch. If those details differ from this notice, the deployment-specific notice controls.
1. Who this notice covers
“The Trend Maker”, “we”, and “us” refer to the service that provides professional creator profiles, portfolio and media-kit pages, creator-to-brand inquiries, campaign workflows, and related account tools. This notice applies to creators, brands, invited users, visitors to public creator pages, and people who contact a creator through the service.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed for the feature being used. This can include:
- Account information: name, email address, password credentials, role, invitation or referral context, and account status.
- Creator and brand information: profile name, biography, location, languages, niches, services, rates or pricing preferences, availability, company details, and contact preferences.
- Professional work: portfolio items, case studies, media-kit content, links, social account URLs, campaign history, submissions, reviews, messages, briefs, deliverables, and collaboration records.
- Commercial records: campaign terms, offers, invoices, payment status, approval records, dispute records, and audit events. We do not ask for payout account information during ordinary creator registration.
- Public-page activity: page views, portfolio or service views, share events, hire-page clicks, inquiry starts, and inquiry submissions. These are first-party product events used to provide creator analytics and improve the service.
- Technical information: browser and device information, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, timestamps, request logs, error information, and security events.
- Information you send us: support requests, feedback, survey responses, and any information included in an inquiry or message.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; operate profiles, media kits, inquiries, campaigns, deals, and submissions; connect brands and creators when a user chooses to do so; deliver transactional notifications; prevent fraud, abuse, and unsafe uploads; maintain financial and audit records; measure genuine first-party product activity; provide support; and comply with legal obligations.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the performance of a contract, steps taken at your request, your consent where requested, our legitimate interests in securing and improving the service, and legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use creator profile data for third-party targeted advertising.
4. Public profiles and your choices
A creator controls whether their profile is published and which supported fields are visible. Published pages can include a name, biography, image, location, services, portfolio, links, reviews, collaboration history, and other fields selected in the profile visibility controls. Do not publish information you want to keep private. A visitor can submit an inquiry using the information they choose to provide; the inquiry details are shared with the selected creator and processed in the platform workspace.
You can update profile visibility, correct account information, export your account data where the feature is available, or request deactivation through account settings or the support channel provided for your deployment.
5. When we share information
We share information only as needed to provide the service: with the creator or brand involved in a collaboration; with service providers that host, store, scan, email, secure, or monitor the platform under appropriate instructions; with professional advisers or authorities where required by law; or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections. Public profile information is visible to visitors when the creator publishes it. We do not make private workspace records public unless a user chooses a feature that does so.
6. Storage, security, and retention
We use access controls, authenticated sessions, encrypted connections where configured, upload validation and malware scanning where enabled, audit records, and least-privilege operational access to protect information. No service can promise absolute security, so please use a unique password and report suspected account compromise promptly.
- Account and profile data is retained while the account is active and through the approved deletion and backup-expiry process after deactivation.
- Campaign, payment, dispute, and audit records may be retained for the period required to complete the collaboration, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet tax or other legal obligations.
- Public profile content is retained until the creator unpublishes or updates it, subject to records already shared, legal holds, and required backups.
- Security and operational logs are retained for the approved monitoring and incident-response window, then deleted or de-identified.
The operator must maintain the deployment retention schedule and backup-expiry settings. When information is no longer required, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely restrict it in line with that schedule.
7. International processing
The Trend Maker may use infrastructure or providers in countries other than your own. Where required, the operator will use an appropriate transfer mechanism and provide additional information about that mechanism through the deployment’s approved privacy contact.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and to complain to a data-protection authority.
- Send the request to the approved legal contact configured for this deployment from an address associated with your account.
- Tell us which right you are exercising and the account or profile it concerns. We may ask for reasonable identity verification.
- We will respond within the period required by applicable law, or explain why a lawful exception or retention obligation applies.
We may retain information where the law permits or requires it, including for legal holds, fraud prevention, security investigations, financial records, or resolving a dispute.
9. Cookies and similar storage
The service uses essential session or authentication storage to keep you signed in and protect requests. It may use session storage for temporary authentication or visitor continuity and first-party event records for creator analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies in the product experience described by this notice. Your browser can restrict storage, but doing so may prevent account features from working. See the Cookies and browser storage page for the full inventory.
10. Children
The Trend Maker is not directed to children. Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are not legally permitted to use the service in your location. If you believe a child has provided information, contact the approved privacy contact so it can be reviewed.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this notice when the service, law, or data practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required. For privacy requests or questions, contact the approved privacy or support contact configured by the operator. That contact address and the responsible legal entity must be published before the service is opened to the public.
